Den nye DD3500-serien subwoofere har blitt redesignet for å utnytte flere muligheter og produksjons-teknikker fra 9500-serien. Endringene omfatter nytt støpt chassis, bedre kjøling, lengre slaglengde, større magneter, lengre talespole, og økt intern motorkjøling. Fra og med 3500-serien kan alle subwoofere spesial designes av deg som kunde. Det være seg spesielle ønsker til membrantype/farge/logo/impedans osv. Prisene vil derfor variere med ønsket design, men vi leverer også standardversjoner av 3500-serien fra til 10'' til 18''.

We don't subscribe to the Good, Better, Best product model where a person has to buy the top of the line product to access better quality. Every speaker is built to high-end, state of the art standards, designed for specific long term power handling needs. Our lower power handling subs are built with far better materials than the so-called high end subs of the marketing powers.

The new 3500 'e' Series subwoofers have been redesigned to utilize more features and manufacturing techniques from the 9500 series. The "e" series changes include new cast baskets with more cooling and more excursion, larger magnets (the magnet weight jumps to 240 ounces), longer coil windings and increased internal motor cooling.
The 35s feature the same voice coils used in the 9500 Series - 3 inches in diameter. DD developed a radical new coil design, The RadCoil, for our Z Series subs; a coil with a built-in heat sink and a series of cooling radiators to move heat away from the coil wire and be dissipated through the Free Flow Cooling System. The voice coil uses the same high temperature wire and adhesives as our 9500 Series.
This large diameter voice coil and high energy motor combine to produce the tremendous amount of force needed to reproduce the impact in today's bass intensive music. This motor system also utilizes the DD exclusive FREE FLOW COOLING SYSTEM; separate cooling vents machined into the voice coil, top plate and pole piece which focus cooling air into the magnetic gap. This high-tech, precision machined cooling system actually lowers the working temperature of the voice coil, thereby lowering the stress on the entire audio system. The more the speaker moves, the more air is pumped onto the coil wire.
The surround uses our EROM profile, copied en masse to become an industry wide standard. The EROM design gives long, controlled excursion while keeping the cone diameter as large as possible. This profile also saves mass over the sculpted rubber surrounds and inner tube style surrounds, less mass is louder and faster.
The cone is our multi-fiber synthetic blend, the same type of fiber used in the highest power handling concert drivers, not punched out from bleach bottle plastic. These special cones are designed for the highest strength with the lowest weight, again, lighter is louder and faster.
The suspension in a subwoofer takes real abuse, so DD introduced the world to laminated lead wires over 15 years ago. We found that long excursion drivers performed better with the tinsel lead wires sandwiched between spider layers to eliminate lead slap and broken lead wires. The DD spiders are formed with USA made cloth and tinsel-lead in our proprietary tooling. We then trim and laminate the spiders into model specific assemblies in-house. Making longer lasting speakers doesn't happen by accident, it's a methodical and purposeful endeavor.
We developed the most electrically efficient connections, the Direct Connect, one of the latest DD innovations to be copied the world over. Our 10 gauge power cable provides perfect copper to copper twisted connections. Direct Connect allows virtually any gauge and number of speaker wires to be connected without signal loss.
In keeping with stringent DD standards, the 35s have low moving mass, use a well controlled suspension and are powered by our own precision machined motor assemblies. These features make the 3500e Series driver a perfect choice for a wide variety of system designs. The 3500 Series woofers have been part of award winning SQ systems, brutal ground-pounders, record setting SPL cars and countless enthusiast systems around the world.
We recommend to allow at least several weeks of playing time to break in DD Woofers, full break in may take many months. DO NOT play subwoofers at max amplifier power in the first couple of days, give the suspensions a chance to loosen up. As the suspension breaks in, the subs will play lower and louder.
After you give the woofers a chance to break in (you'll know when this happens because the woofers will be playing lower and louder) you can start to look at port changes to alter the sound to your personal taste and your vehicles acoustic loading conditions.
